KIPP CONNECT Primary school is the elementary component of the new PreK through 12th-grade KIPP school that opened its doors in August 2014. Our primary school is modeled after the Purpose Built Communities Project in Atlanta. We hope to create not only a school for our students and families, but a hub that will be buzzing 24/7 with activities and resources to support and enrich the lives of our students’ families and the community. We strive to create a beautiful environment where our children are invited, motivated, and supported to explore learning, while falling in love with learning and with life.
KIPP CONNECT Primary is a PreK through 4th-grade fine arts academy, which began serving 420 students in August 2014. We currently serve 843 students.
KIPP CONNECT is a Title I school serving Houston’s Gulfton and Sharpstown communities.
We focus on high achievement in the academic areas and excellence in the fine arts. The primary content areas are mathematics, English language arts, science, and social studies. Our curriculum is aligned and rigorous and follows a developmental sequence.
Teaching at KIPP CONNECT Primary
The philosophy at KIPP CONNECT is derived from our vision and reflected in our approach. We strive to honor the multidimensional and unique characteristics of each one of our children. Our character education program guides every lesson in the building, and our faculty is an essential part of creating and living this vision where excellence is expected and worked on every day. We will provide an excellent education for our children.
